Arrests in Drug Trafficking Investigation - Operation Caliper

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) made two arrests in connection with Operation Caliper, a six-week drug trafficking investigation.

On November 17, 2022, the I.E.U. executed a search warrant on a north end residence in Saint John. A total of approximately 437 grams of a controlled substance believed to be cocaine was seized with an approximate street value of $43,700.00. Over $5,000.00 in Canadian currency was also seized.

A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Proceeds of Crime. The 25-year-old man was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 18, 2022. The 26-year-old woman was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 23, 2023.

The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) currently consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, and New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety.
