On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at approximately 1:42 a.m., the Saint John Police responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the 200 block of Churchland Road in Saint John. Upon arrival, police found that a 59-year-old man had been robbed and sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of a shooting. He was transported to hospital for treatment. The Major Crime Unit is investigating and they do not believe that this was a random act of violence. No arrests have been made.

On Saturday, June 11, 2022, at approximately 2:05 a.m., the Saint John Police responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the 100 block of Adelaide Street in Saint John. Upon arrival, police found multiple shots had been fired at the building. It is alleged that the shots were fired from a dark colored sedan. No injuries were reported and the motive is currently unknown. The Major Crime Unit is investigating.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in these areas that has dash-cam or video surveillance of the incidents at the time they occurred.
