On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Saint John Police responded to a stabbing in the area of Waterloo Street and Paddock Street. A 43-year-old man had allegedly been stabbed on Waterloo Street and transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. At approximately 3:50 a.m., an officer located and arrested that 41-year-old suspect. He was held in custody to appear in provincial court. Both parties were known to each other. The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Saint John Police received a report of a theft of tools from a sea container located at a construction site on Sea Street in Saint John. A large number of tools were recently stolen from the sea container. Anyone with information or may have video surveillance in the area is asked to contact police.

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at approximately 11:52 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to an alarm at a tool rental business on Fairville Boulevard. Police arrived on scene with the keyholder to discover a break and enter into the business. It appears that a number of tools and other property were stolen. Anyone with information or may have video surveillance in the area is asked to contact the police.
