A 32-year-old man made a brief court appearance on Monday, July-5-2021 facing several charges following an incident over the weekend. Robert Eriksen is charged with assault, forcible confinement, possession of stolen property, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

Just after 12:00pm on Saturday, July-3-2021, Saint John Police were called about a woman in distress in a vehicle in the uptown area.

No one was seriously injured following the crash and the investigation is ongoing. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July-8-2021.
