Traffic advisories, road closures and other important information due to overnight heavy rainfall

Update as of July 15, 2021 at 2 p.m.

The traffic lights at the intersection of Loch Lomond Road and McAllister Drive are now operational.


The following roads are closed to traffic: 

Bayside Drive at Expansion Avenue
Leeward Lane between Rivershore Drive and Anchorage Avenue

All other roads are open to traffic.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and care, observe signage and barricades, and avoid flooded areas.

The following roads are now open to traffic:

Rothesay Avenue 
McAllister Drive at Majors Brook Drive 
City Road at Haymarket Square 

Westmorland Road near Sport Chek 
Prince William Street

The following roads are closed to traffic: 


Bayside Drive at Expansion Avenue
Leeward Lane between Rivershore Drive and Anchorage Avenue

The traffic lights at the intersection of Loch Lomond Road and McAllister Drive are out of service. Temporary stop signs are in place.

Update as of July 15, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and care this morning, observe signage and barricades, and avoid flooded areas. Driving through flooded areas can cause serious damage to vehicles and neighbouring homes where the water flows.

Impacted roads will open once the water levels recede.

The traffic lights at the intersection of Loch Lomond Road and McAllister Drive are out of service. Temporary stop signs are in place.

Rothesay Avenue has many flooded areas with barricades and should be avoided.

McAllister Drive at Majors Brook Drive is closed.

City Road at Haymarket Square is closed.

Pylons are in place on Westmorland Road near Sport Chek.

Pylons are in place on Prince William Street between Grannan Street and King Street.

Sandy Point Road has several areas with gravel on the road, please drive with caution.

Leeward Lane between Rivershore Drive and Anchorage Avenue closed.
