UPDATE 2: Missing Person - Gerald Surnode, 17

The Saint John Police continues their search for a missing young person.

It is reported that:

On Monday, April 25, 2022, Gerald Surnode, 17, was reported missing to police. Gerald lives on the lower west side; however, he was last seen at Samuel de Champlain School located at 67 Ragged Point Road in Saint John on Monday, April 25, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Police have obtained an updated description. Gerald is described as 5'6, slight build, short black hair, and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with dark pants.

Members of the Saint John Police and River Valley and York Sunbury Ground Search and Rescue have concluded their search this evening of the designated area around Samuel de Champlain School. Gerald has not been located.

Again, police are asking anyone that lives or works in the area to check their properties and outbuildings, including any video surveillance footage.

The Saint John Police and his family are concerned for his safety. More information will be made available as the investigation permits.
