Youth Arrested for Weapons Offence

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, at approximately 6:31 p.m., Saint John Police officers received a call of a possible assault on the west side of the city. When officers arrived at approximately 6:35 p.m. It was reported that:

-A victim was being chased and threatened by a group of teens.

-A youth was approached by officers, and it was discovered, he was in possession of a weapon. The youth has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and a possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.  

The youth has been released on an undertaking with conditions pending his court appearance on October 20, 2021.
