Traffic Advisory: Garden Street

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will begin April 29 on Garden Street. This work is necessary for infrastructure installation and upgrades.

Duration: Until November 15, 2024

Time: 24 hours/day, seven days/week 

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic

Specific area: Between City Road and Hazen Street

Description of work: Infrastructure installation/upgrades

The upper portion of Garden Street can still be accessed from Somerset Street, towards Coburg Street. Motorists traveling to the east side of the city on New Brunswick Route 1 should use the Crown Street Interchange.

Access will remain open to residents of Garden Street and Charles Street.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
