Is water or sewage backing up in your toilet or drains? This may be an indication of a sewer restriction. Please contact us at 658-4455 and a Saint John Water team member will confirm the City sanitary infrastructure is working properly prior to the owner of the property hiring a plumber.
Below is a visual of typical sewer-line ownership. Visit the Sewer Lateral Back-ups brochure for information on process of dealing with a sewer back-up.
Are you experiencing low water pressure, or no water at all? Please contact us at 658-4455 so a Saint John Water team member can confirm the infrastructure is working properly and no construction work is taking place in your neighbourhood.
Do you need the water turned off for repairs in your home? First check to see if your house is equipped with a main water service shut-off valve, these are typically located inside the home where the water service enters the home through the foundation wall. If you do not have shut-off valve inside your home or if it is not working a Saint John Water team member can turn off the water at the property line. Please note there is a $75 service fee to have the water shut-off at the valve (known as the curb stop) located on the property line of the water service.
Are you currently hooked up to a temporary water line? Is it not functioning properly? Please contact us at 658-4455, customer service calls are answered 24 hours a day.
