Bulky Item Pickup

Have a large, bulky item that needs to be disposed of? If you’re a residential collection customer, you can arrange to have it picked up by the city at no cost. A bulky item means large household items such as furniture, mattresses, bed springs, boxes, barrels, pieces of fencing, barbecues, carpets, etc.

Bulky items do not include electronics, household hazardous waste, or large household appliances* such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, stoves, washers, and dryers. If you require a large appliance pickup (also known as "white goods”), there are various private companies in the city that offer this service for free.

A single family residence is allowed up to 3 bulky items per pickup, two times per year.

Property owners with 2-4 units are allowed up to 6 bulky items per pickup, twice per year.

You must preregister each item for this service by calling 658-4455 between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Customer Service Staff will call you back with an assigned pick up date. Be sure your items are curbside on that date by 7:00 a.m.
