City launches Name The Plow contest

The snowy season has arrived, and the City of Saint John, in partnership with local radio station 97.3 The Wave, is looking for residents to help name four of the snowplows in the City’s fleet with the launch of the first  Name the Plow contest.

The fun, family-friendly contest begins Wednesday, January 11, with name suggestions being accepted on both www.ShapeYourCitySaintJohn.ca and www.thewave.ca. Submissions will close on at noon on Thursday, January 19 . Top names will be selected for a week of public voting before the four winning names are announced on January 31.

Winning names will be displayed on the sides of the plows using decals, and visible in promotional photos and videos on social media.
