City of Saint John community grant applications now available

Deadline to submit applications is Friday, February 12, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.

Applications for the 2021 Community Grants Program are now available. Through this annual program, the City of Saint John provides funding opportunities to support local non-profit organizations whose services promote healthy, active and inclusive communities through the delivery of social, cultural and recreational activities.

Eligible non-profit associations within the City of Saint John may apply for one of three categories:

  • Organizational support
  • Community projects
  • Special events

The Community Grants Funding envelope for 2021 is $184,000, with grant amounts ranging from $100 - $20,000.

Organizations are discouraged from submitting multiple applications for various categories. Applicants who receive City of Saint John funding through other 2021 agreements or subsidy programs are not eligible for Community Grants funding. Successful grant recipients will be ineligible for other municipal funding programs.

Community Grant applications are available on the City’s temporary website or by contacting the Customer Service Centre at service@saintjohn.ca or 658-4455. Hardcopy applications can be picked up at Customer Service on the ground level of City Hall. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, February 12, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. Applications may be emailed or delivered in person or by mail.
