The Saint John sign will be lit red to celebrate 211 Helpline Day.
211 is the front door to help. It is an information and referral service that quickly and effectively connects New Brunswickers to the critical human, social, community and government support they need. It is free and confidential. Phones are answered 24/7, 365 days a year, in 150+ languages through interpretation services. And anyone can call: parents, seniors, workers, business owners, community support organizations, teenagers, municipal staff - everyone can use the service.
Their core mandate is to assist New Brunswickers to navigate access to food, financial assistance, affordable housing, mental health resources, newcomer supports, family services, and more, especially during challenging times.
