National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) honours the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, offering opportunities for learning, reflection, and celebration.

Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27) recognizes the diverse cultural backgrounds that make up Canadian society, often featuring music, food, art, and performances.

The celebration period culminates on Canada Day (July 1), marking the anniversary of Confederation with community gatherings, concerts and fireworks.

Celebrate Canada is a time for communities to come together, reflect on shared values, and celebrate the diverse cultural heritages that contribute to Canada’s identity. It fosters inclusivity, understanding, and national pride and the City of Saint John is proud to welcome residents and visitors to join in these celebrations.
