City announces Out of the Cold shelter will remain open until April 30

The City of Saint John is pleased to announce that, at the request of the Province of New Brunswick, the existing lease with the Salvation Army to operate the Out of the Cold shelter at the former Hilton Belyea Arena has been extended to April 30, 2023.  

In addition to continuing to provide a safe warm space for homeless individuals, this extension allows more time for the Department of Social Development and the Salvation Army, in partnership with front-line agencies, to facilitate individual transition plans for those currently using the shelter.
