City has postponed MoveSJ public engagement while in orange level to ensure greater participation later

Residents are advised that the City has temporarily postponed public engagement for MoveSJ Phase 3 and will reschedule once the region transitions back to the yellow level of the Province’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan.

"Community engagement and feedback are critical to the development of the City's transportation plan (MoveSJ), and we want to ensure that each community member has access to provide their input in a safe and accessible environment," says the City's Traffic Engineer, Tim O'Reilly. "Although most of the public engagement will be done virtually, some in-person access will be available at various locations around the City. We will be prepared to facilitate the sessions when we are confident it is safe to do so, and permitted under the Mandatory Order."

MoveSJ is the City's 25-year transportation plan with an aspirational goal of providing each citizen with the opportunity to use the transportation mode of their choice and do so safely. The third and final phase of MoveSJ covers strategies on cycling, roundabouts, road safety, an updated road classification system, and an overall improvement plan.
