City of Saint John requests motorist cooperation for effective snow clearing

The City of Saint John is requesting additional support from motorists to park vehicles in ways that permit snow clearing.  Where possible, park off-street during and following snowstorms.  Obey No Parking signs and overnight parking bans.  The city will also be deploying temporary No Parking signs on certain streets that supports street widening or snow removal efforts, with at least 8 hours notice before compliance is required.

Snow plowing and snow removal efforts are significantly delayed or prevented when on-street parked vehicles are in the way.  More cooperation is being requested at this time given the amount of accumulated snow that, in combination with on-street parking, is narrowing streets and sidewalks.
