King's Square maple trees

King’s Square is home to seven new maple trees

City arborists and public works crews are hard at work in King’s Square today, September 15, planting seven beautiful maple trees. These new trees are replacing the five 200-year-old trees that fell during Hurricane Dorian in 2019.

King’s Square is a highly valued park in the centre of the City that welcomes hundreds of people passing through each day and plays host to some popular gatherings and historic events. Beautification and maintenance of King’s Square is important to the City to ensure the space can be enjoyed by residents and visitors for years to come.
