By-Law Number MV-10.1 A By-Law respecting the Traffic on Streets in The City of Saint John and amendments thereto

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider giving third reading to the bylaw entitled, “By-Law Number MV-10.1 A By-Law respecting the Traffic on Streets in The City of Saint John and amendments thereto” at its meeting of November 27, 2023.

The proposed Traffic By-Law amendment will limit parking on a number of streets to one side only, to improve access for solid waste collection, emergency and service vehicles as well as snow removal efforts. It has become necessary to impose parking restrictions on certain streets to aid in snow removal operations during winter months. The proposed amendment will amend Schedule “B” – No Parking Anytime; and Schedule “G” – Alternate Side Parking.

In accordance with the Local Governance Act, the bylaw will be read in summary only, if no member of Council objects.
