Lily Lake Skating

Lily Lake in Rockwood Park is now open for public skating

Get those skates sharpened! Lily Lake in Rockwood Park is now open for skating. The ice is now thick enough to ensure safe skating and ice maintenance.

The recent cold snap enabled City crews to plow snow and flood the Lily Lake ice surface, resulting in excellent skating conditions.

Please heed any warning signs posted on and around the ice. Certain areas may not always be safe for skating due to springs in the lake. Helmets are encouraged for all skaters and remember to skate only within the designated area of the ice surface.

The City will continue to monitor ice conditions and may need to close the lake to skating if conditions change. Any change will be communicated through onsite signage and the City's social media channels. Follow us on Instagram, X and Facebook.
