Municipal Plan By-Law Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment - Sunnyside Avenue

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider giving third reading to the bylaw entitled, “By-Law Number C.P. 106-36 A Law to Amend the Municipal Plan By-Law” and “By-Law Number C.P. 111-186 A Law to Amend the Zoning By-Law of The City of Saint John” at its meeting of February 24, 2025.

The proposal would amend Schedules A and B of the Municipal Plan by changing the designation for the parcel of land having an area of approximately 4.67 hectares, located at 0 Sunnyside Avenue, 288 Westmorland Road, and 304 Westmorland Road, from Park and Natural Area to Stable Area and from Park and Natural Area to Stable Residential by enacting By-Law C.P. 106-36 A Law to Amend The Municipal Plan By-law of The City of Saint John; and rezoning a parcel of land having an approximate area of 4.67 hectares, located at 0 Sunnyside Avenue, 288 Westmorland Road, and 304 Westmorland Road, from Park (P) and Utility Service (US) to Mini-Home Park Residential (RP) by enacting By-Law Number C.P. 111-186 A Law to Amend The Zoning By-Law of the City of Saint John to allow for the creation of a mini home park with 75 units, associated driveway, landscaping, and community spaces. 

In accordance with the Local Governance Act, the bylaw will be read in summary only, if no member of Council objects.
