Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider amending The City of Saint John Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., by:

A Municipal Plan Amendment to:

  1. Redesignate on Schedule A of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 4.67 hectares on Sunnyside Avenue, also identified as the above noted PIDs, from Park and Natural Area to Stable Area.
  1. Redesignate on Schedule B of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 4.67 hectares on Sunnyside Avenue, also identified as the above noted PIDs, from Park and Natural Area to Stable Residential.

A rezoning of the following area:

  1. Rezoning of a parcel of land, area of 4.67 hectares on Sunnyside Avenue, also identified as the above noted PIDS, from Park (P) and Utility Service (US) to Mini Home Park Residential (RP).

REASON FOR CHANGE:

To allow for the development of an affordable mini-home park.
