Proposed Municipal Plan Bylaw and Zoning Bylaw Amendment RE: 358 ½ Rothesay Avenue

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider an amendment to the Municipal Plan By-Law and the Zoning By-Law at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Monday, March 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., by:

  1. Redesignate on Schedule A of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 8360 m2 identified as a portion of PID 55183875, from Park and Natural Area to Employment Area
  2. Redesignate on Schedule B of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 8360 m2 identified as a portion of PID 55183875, from Park and Natural Area to Commercial Corridor. 
  3. To rezone land having an approximate area of 8360 m2 identified as a portion of PID 55183875, from Park (P) to Commercial Corridor (CC) in Zoning By-Law.

REASON FOR CHANGE:

To subdivide a portion of land along Rothesay Avenue for future commercial uses. The remainder of the site shall remain as the Fernhill Cemetery.
