Temporary Changes to Saint John Transit Routes, June 11

On Thursday, June 11 due to construction activity at 99 King Street, Saint John Transit will not be able to service stops at Kings Square North, King Square South, King Street, or at City Hall.

For the duration of the construction, there will be no transit service on King Street.

Routes will return to normal operations on Monday, June 15.

Buses (1E, 3E, 9E, 20, 33, 35, 52, 1W, 3N, 9N, 15W, 21, 23) will stop and transfer passengers at 162 Union Street.

Buses (1W, 3N, 9N, 15W, 23 1E, 3E, 9E, 15s, 23) will stop and transfer passengers at 165 Union Street.

Detours

  • Routes 1W, 3N, 9N, 15W & 23 will travel along Union Street, right on Main Street to regular route. Temporary bus stops will be located at Union & Charlotte and by Peel Plaza going west & northbound.
  • Routes 1E, 3E, 9E, 15S & 23 will travel Main Street, left on Union Street to regular route. Temporary bus stops will be located Union & Germain and Union & Charlotte.
  • Routes 20, 33, 35 & 52 going uptown will be traveling Union Street, left on Carmarthen, right on King Street East, right on Sydney. Passengers on these routes will need to use the bus stop on Sydney Street (next to the Golden Ball).
  • Route 21 will start its route at Union & Carmarthen.

Motorists in the area are advised to drive with caution and be aware of increased pedestrian traffic and flaggers in the detour areas.
