Virtual information session for municipal election candidates

Thinking of running for Saint John Common Council? 
 
Attend a virtual information session hosted by the City of Saint John. 
 
Chief Electoral Officer, Kim Poffenroth from Elections NB will provide municipal election candidates with information about the electoral process, including the positions to be filled on municipal councils.   
 
Jonathan Taylor, City Clerk for the City of Saint John will provide an overview of the roles of Mayor and Council and relevant governance information.   

Councillor David Merrithew will provide a brief overview of the time commitments, workload, and expectations of being a member of Council.  

A question period will follow the presentations. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance by email to cityclerk@saintjohn.ca  

Relevant questions can be asked during the live session as YouTube video comments.
