Alternate Side Parking in the SCP is in effect year-round.
This system helps support street maintenance crews by allowing for efficient snow plowing and street sweeping. Many streets within the SCP are narrow, and alternating parking ensures there is enough space for essential services, such as garbage collection and emergency vehicles like fire trucks, to safely and easily access all areas.
Signs posted on applicable residential streets.
- From the 1st to the 15th of each month
- You can park on the odd-numbered side of the street (the side where house or building numbers are odd: 1, 3, 5, etc.).
- From the 16th to the last day of the month
- You can park on the even-numbered side of the street (the side where house or building numbers are even: 2, 4, 6, etc.).
Example:
- June 5 → Park on the odd side (house numbers 1, 3, 5…)
- June 20 → Park on the even side (house numbers 2, 4, 6…)
Tips:
The switch happens between 6p.m. and midnight, be sure to move your car before midnight to avoid a ticket. Between 6p.m. and midnight of the 15th day and the last day of the month. Set reminder in calendar. 2026 Calendar Alternate-Side.pdf
