Contractor Reserved Parking Permit – FAQ
Who is this permit for?
Contractors and construction companies that need to reserve on-street parking near an active work site.
What does the permit allow?
It allows you to reserve approved on-street parking space(s) on the street requested for the dates needed.
Does the permit guarantee the space will be available?
No. The permit does not guarantee availability. It is the permit holder’s responsibility to ensure the space is cleared and available for use.
How is the permit issued and managed?
All permits are reviewed and issued by Saint John Parking by adding license plate(s) in HotSpot. If you need to update license plate information, the permit can be linked to your Hotspot account and can be updated by the permit holder at any time through the app.

- Company name
- Contact name
- Phone number
- HotSpot account email address
- Address where parking is required
- Parking dates requested
- Vehicle make and license plate number(s)
What is the cost?
The fee is $16 per day, per parking space.
How are larger vehicles charged?
Fees and enforcement apply to each parking space used.
