Free overnight parking in designated areas uptown begins Sunday, May 1

The City of Saint John is pleased to offer free overnight parking on weekends between May 1 and October 31 within the entertainment district in uptown Saint John. Supporting local just got easier; come uptown to enjoy a night out knowing you can leave your vehicle until the next morning if needed. 

All metered parking spots and all City parking lots (excluding the Market Square and Peel Plaza Parking Garages) will be available for free overnight parking on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from midnight to 7:00 a.m. The entertainment district defined in Schedule I-1 of the Traffic By-Law, generally speaking, is the area bounded by Water Street & Charlotte Street, from King Street to Duke Street. See photo below.  

It should be noted that all daytime parking rules apply as usual from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
