By-law respecting the Reduction of Single-Use Plastic Bags in The City of Saint John

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider giving third reading to the bylaw entitled, “By-Law Number L.G.-12, A By-Law respecting the Reduction of Single-Use Plastic Bags in The City of Saint John” at its meeting of March 22, 2021.  

The By-law respecting the Reduction of Single-Use Plastic Bags in the City of Saint John will significantly reduce recycled plastic bag waste.  Upon third reading, this by-law will come into effect on July 1, 2021.

In accordance with the Local Governance Act, the by-law will be read in summary only, if no member of Council objects.
