Proposed Municipal Plan Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment RE: 221 Lancaster Avenue (part of PID 55146302), 251 Lancaster Avenue (PID 55146310) and 271 Lancaster Avenue (PID 55146328)

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider amending The City of Saint John Municipal Development Plan and Zoning By-Law at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., by:

1. Redesignating on Schedule A of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 3.18 hectares, located at 221, 251 and 271 Lancaster Avenue also identified as PIDs 55146328, 55146310 and a portion of PID 55146302, from Park and Natural Area to Stable Area, as illustrated below;

2. Redesignating on Schedule B of the Municipal Development Plan land having an approximate area of 3.18 hectares located at 221, 251 and 271 Lancaster Avenue, also identified as PIDs 55146328, 55146310 and a portion of PID 55146302, from Park and Natural Area, to Stable Commercial, as illustrated below;

3. Rezoning a parcel of land having an approximate area of 3.18 hectares, located at 221, 251 and 271 Lancaster Avenue, also identified as PIDs 55146328, 55146310 and a portion of PID 55146302, from Park (P) to General Commercial (CG) as illustrated below.

REASON FOR CHANGE:

To develop a commercial parking lot to support maintenance and construction activities at an area industrial facility.
