Public Information Session: 2024-16 Sandy Point Road and Foster Thurston Drive Intersection Roundabout Construction

The City of Saint John will be undertaking the construction of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Sandy Point Road and Foster Thurston Drive as recommended in the City’s Transportation Strategic Plan, MoveSJ. The purpose of this project is to improve operations and safety at the intersection.

The construction activities will include: 

• The construction of the roundabout and associated approach roads including new sidewalks and the installation of new storm sewer and street lighting. 

• There will be traffic disruptions during the project; however, construction crews and associated traffic controls will be present.  

The project is anticipated to begin in late July 2025 and is expected to be completed by October 2025. 

Representatives from the City of Saint John and the project design team, Harbourside Engineering Group and Brunswick Engineering, will be available to answer questions related to the project. The public is invited to drop in anytime during the following periods to attend an information session for this project:

Place: Hazen White-St. Francis School - 538 Sandy Point Road 

Time: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
