REMINDER: Sign up to receive emergency alert notifications from the City of Saint John

The City of Saint John is reminding citizens to sign up to receive City of Saint John emergency alert notifications. These notification systems are used by the Saint John-EMO and the City of Saint John to broadly communicate urgent public notices.

We also ask that citizens follow the Saint John Police Force and City of Saint John on social media in addition to signing up for these alerts.

The City’s emergency alert notifications are sent out in a different way than the National Alert Ready system. Emergency alerts through Alert Ready can be broadcast on radio, television or compatible wireless devices. The Alert Ready system notifications are issued by the New Brunswick RCMP when requested by the Saint John Police Force or Saint John-EMO. Please note that these agencies may need more time to respond to a call, assess the situation and gather credible information before issuing an alert through this platform.
