Statement

Council wishes to announce it has resolved a Code of Conduct complaint with Councilor Harris and Councilor Killen. The investigation of the Code of Conduct complaint regarding Councilor Harris and Councilor Killen concluded that there had been breaches of the Code of Conduct. The investigator also concluded there was no malice or ill will involved.

Councilor Harris and Councilor Killen have apologized for any error on their part and Council accepts that apology and has reinstated Councilor Killen and Councilor Harris to their respective committees and looks forward to working together in the New Year to advance the best interests of the City of Saint John and all of our residents.

Council also confirms that it has agreed on a go forward basis, that interim measures will not be taken until the Councilor being the subject of a complaint, has had an opportunity to be heard by Council.
