Traffic Advisory: Sandy Point Road and Foster Thurston Drive

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will begin the week of July 28 on Sandy Point Road and Foster Thurston Drive for the construction of a new single-lane roundabout. The work also includes new stormwater management infrastructure and pedestrian sidewalk and crosswalk connections between the existing sidewalks on Sandy Point Road and Fieldstone Drive and the Rockwood Park Trail system.

Action: Traffic is reduced to a single lane with temporary traffic signals in place to manage alternating directional flow

Please note that access to the Rockwood Park trailhead may be intermittently restricted due to ongoing construction activities in the area.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
