P.R.O. Kids provides up to $500 per child per calendar year (January - December). This amount can be applied towards a single activity or divided over less expensive options that occur in different seasons.
Your child must be between the ages of 2 and 18 and live in Saint John, Grand Bay-Westfield, Rothesay or Quispamsis.
Applicants who receive funding from P.R.O. Kids can only be in one paid recreation program at a time.
Each application requires one reference who can verify that the applicant is in financial need. The reference should be an adult who knows the parent or child and is not a family member.
Know your activity of choice, the registration deadlines for that program, the costs associated with it, and any other details about equipment or transportation before applying. Contact the program provider for more information.
There are no set deadlines to apply for P.R.O. Kids. Applications are accepted daily. However, it is best to get your application in early before your activity's registration begins. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents must re-apply for each season of activity. Multiple applications for different seasons for a single child will not be accepted.
