2024 Canada Day celebration in Saint John

The City of Saint John is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of free, family-friendly activities in celebration of Canada Day on July 1, and residents and visitors are invited to join the festivities.

The City is partnering with AREA 506 to host the third annual Canada Day Waterfront Festival. The Waterfront Festival will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Container Village at 85 Water Street. Festival activities include face painting, circus school, buskers, arts and crafts, prizes and much more.

To top off the celebrations, a fireworks display over Lower Cove will begin at 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Gates to the container village open at 11:00 a.m. and activities begin at 12:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to gather near the main stage at 1:00 p.m. for official remarks and the opening ceremony.
