City and residents preparing for another major storm as more winter weather heads for Saint John

Based on the current forecast for tonight and through tomorrow the Saint John region is expected to receive anywhere from 25-40 cm of snow mixed with ice pellets, freezing rain and rain.

Since last weekend’s storm, City Crews have been out with a full 24/7 response to clear and remove snow. Crews have been busy preparing equipment and will respond immediately to the mixed precipitation that is expected to begin late this evening.

Sidewalk and road conditions are likely to change quickly with fluctuating temperatures and precipitation. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads and sidewalks if possible or be cautious if travel is necessary. Please allow space for City plows and emergency services to operate efficiently.

We thank the public for their cooperation and patience as we work around-the-clock to keep City streets and sidewalks clear and safe. For information on priority routes, updates to overnight parking bans, Saint John Transit services, and other municipal storm updates, visit www.saintjohn.ca
