City awards twenty-seven local organizations with community grant funding

Mayor Don Darling, members of council and the Community Grants Committee awarded $184,000 in Community Grants at last night's council meeting.  

A total of $184,000 was awarded to support operational costs, as well as projects and events that foster healthy, active and inclusive communities. 

The annual program provides funding to local, non-profit organizations who support Saint John communities through the delivery of social, cultural and recreational activities. 

This year, the Community Grants Committee identified twenty-seven successful recipients:
