Harbour Passage Info Session

City invites public to help shape an extension of Harbour Passage

The City of Saint John invites residents to attend a public information session regarding the conceptual design of a new section of Harbour Passage, extending from the intersection of Broad Street and Carmarthen Street to Rockwood Park.

This project marks an important step in the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing transportation corridors, public spaces, and active transportation infrastructure. The concept development includes new roadway cross sections for Broad Street, Crown Street, and Mount Pleasant Avenue within the project limits. Streetscaping elements, such as lighting, street furniture, and landscaping, are also being explored as part of the conceptual design.

The purpose of this project is to develop a recommended concept plan, including proposed phasing and associated cost estimates. The resulting information will be used to incorporate the detailed design and construction work into future Capital Programs.

Representatives from the City of Saint John, along with the project design team from Englobe Corp. and UPLAND Planning & Design Studio, will be available to answer questions and collect public feedback.

Residents are encouraged to drop in at any time during the open house:

Date: Thursday, February 12, 2026
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Trinity Anglican Church, 115 Charlotte Street

Public input is an important part of this process. Community members are encouraged to attend, review the conceptual material, and share their comments on this exciting city-building initiative.
