City invites the public to participate in Community Energy Action Plan online workshop

The City of Saint John, in partnership with Saint John Energy, is developing a Community Energy Action Plan to achieve its goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The public is encouraged to join the discussion, share their ideas and be part of the driving force to make Saint John more resilient to the effects of climate change and continue to become an energy-focused city.

The public is invited to attend an online engagement workshop and information session on Wednesday, May 24 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Participants will receive information on the actions required for Saint John to achieve its climate target and provide input to help identify how to maximize positive social, economic, and environmental impacts of climate action. There will also be an opportunity for participants to offer feedback on how they would like these actions to be monitored and communicated to the public.
