City launches new online application portal for P.R.O. Kids

The City of Saint John is making it easier for parents and guardians to sign their children up for the P.R.O. Kids program with the introduction of a new online application portal.

P.R.O Kids (Positive Recreation Opportunities for Kids) is a charitable service operated by the City of Saint John that provides youth aged 2 – 18 years with up to $500 to help cover the cost of sports, recreation, music, arts, or cultural activities. Annual support is available to families in financial need who live in Saint John, Grand Bay-Westfield, Rothesay, or Quispamsis.

Those interested in applying can access the new platform directly on the City’s website. Applications are accepted daily and there are no set deadlines, however financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

To date, P.R.O. Kids has helped more than 20,000 children in the Greater Saint John area access sports, recreation, music, arts, or culture activities. For more information on the program, click here.
