City of Saint John: Celebrating Excellence in Heritage Preservation

At last night’s Common Council meeting, the City of Saint John proudly announced this year’s Heritage Award recipients. These awards will be formally presented at a ceremony later this year.

The annual Heritage Awards program celebrates exceptional achievements in preserving and enhancing the historic places that define our community. Each year, the City recognizes individuals, organizations, tradespeople, and property owners whose dedication helps safeguard the unique character and architectural legacy of Saint John.

The awards highlight a wide range of contributions to heritage conservation, including commercial and residential façade rehabilitations, heritage recovery projects, the creation of interpretive signage, long-term stewardship, and outstanding craftsmanship. Presented by the Heritage Development Board, the recipients exemplify the commitment and skill that keep Saint John’s historic buildings vibrant and resilient.
