City of Saint John: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation educational campaign for employees 

Pursuant to a recommendation by Common Council, the City of Saint John undertook an educational campaign for employees leading up to the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 called Truth and Reconciliation Moments.        

The daily education and awareness campaignwas an important way to provide reflections, information and resources to all employees about the history of Indigenous peoples, residential schools, and the need for Truth and Reconciliation.
