City of Saint John update related to Canada Post service disruption

UPDATE (DECEMBER 16, 2024): We anticipate that utility bills for meter customers will be mailed out tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17th, if Canada Post employees return to work as expected. We would like to remind our customers that Utility bills for meter customers printed on November 14th are still due by December 17th, and late penalties may apply. If you have already made this payment, please disregard the paper copy of your invoice when it arrives in the mail.

With a national postal strike underway, we want to minimize the impact on our customers. Here’s what City of Saint John residents and customers need to know:

During the mail disruption, the City cannot mail utility bills for meter customers which were printed November 14th and due by December 17th, payments are still due on December 17th, and late penalties may apply

Payments for parking tickets and water and sewer bills can be made by phone or in person, or by accessing the online payment system HERE.

Any vendors the City is in need of sending cheques to will be contacted directly.

Mail that is addressed to the City of Saint John can be dropped off at City Hall, during regular business hours.
