City-wide on-street parking restrictions – What you need to know

To keep streets accessible and safe, the City takes an active role in the enforcement of parking restrictions and temporary overnight parking bans.

On-street parking is permitted across the City (unless prohibited by signage or the Motor Vehicle Act), except when a temporary overnight parking ban is declared. Overnight parking bans are declared as per sections 5(6) and 5(7) of the City’s Traffic By-law to allow for snow removal operations.

Any vehicle impeding snow removal operations will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
