P.R.O. Kids

City will start accepting P.R.O. Kids applications for Fall 2024 activities on September 15

The City of Saint John will open the P.R.O. Kids online application portal for the 2024 fall season at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 15th.

Positive Recreation Opportunities for Kids (P.R.O. Kids) is a charitable service operated by the City of Saint John that provides eligible local children, aged 2 to 18, with the opportunity to participate in the recognized sports, recreation, arts, or cultural programs of their choice. P.R.O. Kids assists families in financial need with funding towards the cost of registration fees for these programs.

Parents and guardians interested in applying for their children can access the P.R.O. Kids application platform directly on the City’s website.  The deadline for the 2024 fall season is Tuesday, October 15, and financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

To date, P.R.O. Kids has helped more than 20,000 children in financial need in the Greater Saint John area. For more information on the program, including program changes and the updated application process, please click here.

P.R.O. Kids is a confidential service available to children in Saint John, Grand Bay-Westfield, Quispamsis, and Rothesay whose families fall under the income threshold. All administration costs are covered by these municipalities, allowing 100% of all donations to P.R.O. Kids to go directly to assisting the children of our community.
