Effective October 17: City extends morning and evening Customer Service hours Monday through Thursday, while continuing to provide core municipal services throughout the week

While many municipal employees will be shifting to a compressed work week on a trial basis, the City would like to reassure the public that operations in the following service areas will continue to be provided to the community throughout the week: 

  • Police, Fire and 911 
  • Parks and recreation, including all facilities open as usual 
  • Solid waste collection services 
  • Saint John Water services 
  • Sewer treatment services 
  • Saint John Transit services 
  • Parking enforcement services 
  • Emergency road work 
  • City Market, open as usual 
  • Snow clearing operations 

Effective Monday, October 17, the Customer Service Contact Centre, One Stop Development Shop and Community Services will offer extended morning and evening hours Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and be closed on Fridays.   

Online payments and other online services are available by visiting www.saintjohn.ca. 

Emergency after-hours customer service will remain available. However, general inquiries and other non-emergency services will be addressed by the Customer Service Centre during extended Monday to Thursday hours. 

Common Council and Committee meetings will continue to be held as scheduled and advertised on www.saintjohn.ca.
