Free overnight parking in areas uptown begins Saturday, May 1 

The Saint John Parking Commission and the City of Saint John are excited to be offering free overnight parking within the entertainment district uptown Saint John beginning May 1 until October 31. Supporting local just got easier; come uptown to enjoy a night out and leave your car until the next morning.  

All metered parking spots and all Parking Commission lots (excluding both the Market Square and Peel Plaza Parking Garages) will be available for free overnight parking on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from midnight to 7:00 a.m. The entertainment district defined in Schedule I-1 of the Traffic By-Law, generally speaking, is the area bounded by Water Street & Charlotte Street, from King Street to Duke except Germain Street from Princess to Duke. It should be noted that all daytime parking rules apply as usual from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
