Proposed Municipal Plan Amendment RE:15 Broadway Avenue

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider an amendment to the Municipal Development Plan that would:

  1. Redesignate on Schedule A of the Municipal Development Plan, land having an approximate area of 0.29 hectares, located at 15 Broadway Avenue, also identified as PID 00299248, PID 00300814, and an undeveloped portion of a Public Street, from Stable Area to Employment Area, as illustrated below;
  2. Redesignate on Schedule B of the Municipal Development Plan, land having an approximate area of  0.29 hectares, located at 15 Broadway Avenue, also identified as PID 00299248, PID 00300814, and an undeveloped portion of a Public Street, from Stable Residential to Commercial Corridor, as illustrated below.

A public presentation of the proposed amendment will take place at a regular meeting of Common Council, to be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall with a remote participation option on Monday, June 28, 2021.

REASON FOR CHANGE:

To recognize the commercial use on the subject site.

Written objections to the proposed amendment may be made to the Council, in care of the undersigned, by July 28, 2021.

Enquiries may be made at the office of the Common Clerk or Growth & Community Services, City Hall, 15 Market Square, Saint John, N.B. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, inclusive, holidays excepted.
