Public Information Session 2023-23 Millidge Avenue Boat Ramp Rehabilitation

The City of Saint John will be undertaking the renewal of the existing boat ramp in the above noted area this upcoming construction season. The purpose of this project is to renew infrastructure that is nearing the end of its useful life.

The construction activities will include:

  • Removal of existing asphalt ramp and replacement with a new concrete boat ramp including floating docks and an aluminum gangway. The asphalt runway onto the ramp is also to be replaced as part of this project,
  • There will be traffic disruptions during the project; and the boat ramp is expected to be closed for public use from July 2nd to Mid-September. Construction crews and associated traffic controls will be present. Partial and full street closures are expected.

This project is part of the City’s on-going commitment to continually improve its infrastructure and is included in the approved City of Saint John General Fund Capital Programs.

The project is anticipated to begin July 2nd, 2024, and is expected to be completed by the middle of September 2024.

Representatives from the City of Saint John, and the City’s Consultant, will be available to answer questions related to the project. The public is invited to drop in anytime during the following periods to attend an information session for this project:
